Original Vintage 1990s Mike Fink Restaurant Menu 1 Ben Bernstein Plaza Covington Kentucky
The Mike Fink was a floating restaurant that opened in the early 1960s on the Ohio River at Covington, Kentucky, founded by salvage riverman Captain John Beatty and occupying a former steam towboat built in 1936 by the Dravo Corp. as the John W. Hubbard. Named for Mike Fink, the semi-legendary early-1800s Ohio and Mississippi riverboatman, it was moored across the river from downtown Cincinnati, and the Bernstein family of BB Riverboats bought it in 1975 and operated it for roughly three decades. It closed around 2008 after shutting for repairs and never reopened, as reopening would have required a $4-5 million investment, and its hull was relocated to Marietta, Ohio, where it now serves as a maintenance shop.
