This specific book has incredible history: it was acquired directly from a former employee of the legendary Marshall Field's Department Store in Chicago, where it was used in their elite multi-floor interior design studio.

Kindel is world-renowned for making line-for-line museum reproductions. This binder serves as a complete sales kit for their flagship 18th-century Winterthur Museum, Cliveden (National Trust), and Irish Georgian Society collections.

To help close high-ticket sales, the Marshall Field's designer tucked original, matching Sotheby's sale Catalog covers and lot sheets from 1985 and 1986 directly into the sleeves. This allowed wealthy clients to compare Kindel's retail prices against the multi-million dollar sale values of the original antiques.
