Vintage Imperial Imari porcelain lidded presentation bowl, originally purchased in the 1980s. This high-quality mid-century piece beautifully replicates the classic, intricate styling of traditional 17th-century Japanese Arita export porcelain. • Finial Handle: Features a fully sculpted underglaze blue Shishi (Foo Dog / Guardian Lion) finial handle on the lid resting its paw on a gold sphere.
• Decorative Palette: Executed in the iconic Imari palette, showcasing vivid overglaze iron-red diaper patterns, deep cobalt blue accents, and striking gold-gilded floral scrollwork.
• Panels: Scalloped cartouches on the lid display hand-decorated pine trees and botanical elements.
• Base Markings: The bottom bears the stamped iron-red "Imperial Imari Japan" mark surrounding the traditional kanji character for Kotobuki (Longevity and Good Fortune). It also features an unglazed clay accent seal designed to replicate historical master-potter registry marks.
