Vintage Flamex Series ’72 piezoelectric butane lighter, made in Japan and dating to 1972.
This compact silver-tone lighter features Flamex's piezoelectric ignition system, eliminating the need for flints, batteries or a wick. The lighter has a textured metal finish with the distinctive Flamex atomic-style emblem near the ignition mechanism.
Includes the original fitted Flamex presentation case with red interior and satin-lined lid displaying the period advertising:

The piezo ignition has been tested and produces a strong visible spark. The lighter has not been filled or tested with butane, so it is being sold with fuel operation untested.
