Because they were never opened or displayed, the colors remain incredibly vibrant, and the laminated surfaces have been entirely protected from dust, smoke, and moisture for over 50 years.Provenance & Historical Details:
- Backing:Printed/mounted directly onto a solid vintage composite wood/masonite panel with factory-drilled keyhole hangers built into the back for clean, flush wall hanging [OWPjKO].
- Manufacturer:Retains the original"Award Winner" Decorator Wall Plaqueslabel from theSoroka Marketing Corp.(Pittsburgh, PA) on the back [HndMhG].
- Retail History:The edge of the wrap still bears the original, yellowW.T. Grant Co. (Grants)department store price tag showing the original retail price of97¢[t5mPsE]. This incredible detail perfectly dates the production of this pair to between 1968 and 1973, right before the department store closed in 1976.
