Vintage 1965 Ludwig Super Classic Drumset Silver Sparkle Born Together Original For Sale

This one stings a bit but here we go...Up for sale is an absolutely beautiful 1965 born together Ludwig Super Classic drum set. 14x22, 9x13, 16x16 Mahogany-Poplar-Mahogany 3 Ply shells. All drums have their original silver sparkle wraps which remain virtually unfaded after all of these years. Not only are the wraps minimally faded but they are all in pristine physical condition with almost no scratches, dents, or tom rash. All of the chrome on these drums is in very good vintage condition with virtually no pitting. The bearing edges are all 100% original and in very excellent shape. All of the shells are perfectly round and take heads perfectly and tune up beautifully. The insides are all original factory reso-coat white with visible date stamps on each drum. The kick (SN-150678)is JULY-8-1965. The floor tom (SN-170919) is July-6-1965.The rack tom (SN-171226) is July-8-1965. This means with near 100% certainty they all left the factory with each other and have remained together for 61 years. These drums play and sound absolutely incredible and record so very beautifully. The rail consolette is original and has been treated well over the years and does not slip whatsoever. The toms both have their original white baseball bat mufflers which function perfectly. The hoops on both toms are all brass and appear to be original. Magnets do not stick to them. The bass drum hoops and inlays appear to be original and I am very certain have not been refinished. All T rods on the bass drum are present, I replaced the two missing recently with real vintage 1960's Ludwig replacement. The toms have premium leather Canopus washers on them.There are absolutely no extra holes drilled into any of these drums or other modifications.All wrap seams are tight and there is no lifting. All drums have their original keystone badges. There are some places where the maple reinforcement rings are very slightly gapping from the shell which is very common on these vintage Ludwig kits. All heads are not original. The logo head is a repro from Lawton drums. Coated ambassadors and diplomats on the toms.
This is a very rare opportunity to own a wonderfully maintained vintage 1965 Ludwig with no extra holes or modifications of any kind. I have taken excellent care of these drums and I hope the new owner will cherish them as I have over the years.
