There is no “Patented” marking, consistent with the 1963 No. 7 Ponytail Barbie variation.
Original box end label reads “Barbie Teen Age Fashion Model With Pedestal – Stock No. 850 – Imported From Japan – Blonde – Ponytail.”
Included are the blonde Ponytail Barbie doll, red one-piece swimsuit, pair of red open-toe heels, earrings, black wire display stand, original illustrated #850 box and inner box/tray.
This is a genuine vintage doll showing more than 60 years of age, play and storage. The body has discoloration, spotting, surface marks and general age-related wear, particularly on the arms and legs. Hair remains full but is somewhat mussed from storage. Face paint remains quite attractive with strong blue eyes and eyeshadow, eyebrows and lip color. Some fingernail and toenail paint remains. Earrings show age/discoloration.
The original box has substantial staining, scuffing, surface/paper loss, edge and corner wear and other age/storage wear. The important orange end label identifying the doll as Stock No. 850 Blonde Ponytail remains present and readable.

A very nice opportunity for a vintage Barbie collector to acquire an identifiable 1963 No. 7 Ponytail together with her correct labeled box and display pieces.
