This is a group of three original 1953 Santa Barbara event programmes that have stayed together since the summer they were printed. The set covers Semana Nautica, held the third through the fifth of July, the National Horse Show and Flower Show from the fourteenth through the nineteenth of July, and Viva La Fiesta, the Old Spanish Days celebration, held the nineteenth through the twenty-second of August. The Fiesta material includes the programme for the Fiesta Play with its three performances and the printed ticket price list.
What makes this group worth keeping intact is that all three came out of one season in one city. Santa Barbara's Old Spanish Days has run since 1924 and its ephemera has a devoted local following, while the Horse Show and the Semana Nautica regatta material turns up far less often than the Fiesta pieces on their own. Sold together these document a summer; split apart they are three loose brochures.
Please look closely at the photographs for the condition of each piece, including any edge wear, folds, toning or foxing. These are original 1953 printings and are sold as vintage paper.
