This is a vintage 1953 Vogue Ginny "Roller Skater" doll (Gadabout Series #47 unboxed.
She is a hard plastic strung body, with red curly wig in original flip. Her body has no issues and her stringing is still strong, and she holds her pose. She was restrung in the last 30 years, .
She is swearing her appropriately labeled, purposely bluish, Skating dress and matching pants. They are in very good condition which is unusual because many of them have cracked over the years. The gold paper flowers are still all intact. The headdress has a new elastic. The hat has faded than what and it’s not as vibrant as her dress and panties.
She is wearing her original center snap white skates which still have a hold strong snap. Please see the pictures for condition. She is wearing her original purple ankle socks.
As you can see from the pictures, her painted lashes and brows have faded. From a far they look beige, but if you magnify them, you can see that they have turned. They no longer opening clothes on their own, but need manual assistance. (an eraser is the best way to do it so you don’t scratch the eyes)
Her listed price takes in all these issues.
She is still a beautiful doll and sought active for all these original pieces. She is considered a good doll that has lost value because of the painted lash changes overtime.
