The original snare mechanism has been replaced at some point with a Ludwig P85 throw-off, so the drum is not being represented as completely original. The snare wires and related components also appear to be later replacements. The P85 operates and the drum is currently set up with snare wires.
Included with the drum is an additional pair of 14” wood hoops, including a hoop with snare-gate cutouts. These spare hoops also show age-related wear and are included as pictured.
This is a great candidate for a vintage Slingerland collection, restoration project, player’s drum or display piece. Because of its age and replacement/modified components, it is being sold as-is.
