This is a vintage 1950\'s circa drum practice pad made from wood and plywood. An incredible piece of Americana, a perfect collectors item for the drummer who has an appreciation for vintage drum memorabilia. Despite the lack of a makers sticker or mark, from my research this piece is believed to be made by Slingerland previously owned by the Leedy Manufacturing Co. based in Elkhart, Indiana. Please do your own research to confirm my findings.
This drum pad is attached to the stand which is also a vintage piece and part of the sale.
Condition: pre owned with wear consistent with age and usage. The drum pad still had a bit of spongey feel to it. Underneath, it looks like 2 of the rubber feet are missing (should have 4). The wood shows cosmetic wear as well as some splintering along the edges with nicks and scratches throughout consistent with usage over the many years of its life.
