Vintage 1950 Motorola 5X11U Bakelite Tube Radio WORKING Atomic Age MCM AM.
Vintage Motorola Model 5X11U tube radio from around 1950, in a marbled brown bakelite cabinet with red knobs, a gold Motorola logo, and a silver circular dial. Mid-century design that looks great on a shelf or bar cart.
WORKING: Plugged in and tested. It powers on and plays great. Sound is clear and the tuning dial works smoothly.
CONDITION:- Cabinet is in great shape, with good gloss and no cracks that I can see.- Original red knobs and dial are intact.- The cardboard back panel shows age: some staining and a few chipped corners, as pictured. Please see the back photos.- Original cord and wiring, unserviced. Sold as a working collectible and display piece, not as a restored or rewired radio.
SERVICE HISTORY: Unknown. I don\'t know when it was last serviced, and the original capacitors and wiring have not been replaced to my knowledge. It works well as-is, but I recommend having it checked by a tube radio technician before regular or extended use.
