Authentic 1941 Warner Sallman “Head of Christ” lithograph, depicting one of the most recognized images of Jesus Christ in 20th-century American religious art.This vintage example is clearly marked in the lower left:“COPYRIGHT 1941KRIEBEL & BATESLITHO IN U.S.A.”The Warner Sallman name/signature also appears beneath the copyright information.This is an actual period 1941 lithographic print, not a modern reproduction. It remains displayed behind glass in an older molded wood frame.Approximately 14” wide × 17” tall overall based on the measurements shown in the photographs.The print displays beautifully with the warm, subdued colors and classic appearance associated with Sallman’s iconic portrait. An excellent piece for a collection of Christian religious art, church memorabilia, vintage devotional items or Warner Sallman artwork.Condition: Approximately 85 years old and showing appropriate age-related wear. There is visible spotting/foxing, surface discoloration and other signs of age, along with wear to the frame. Glass also shows age/use. No attempt has been made to clean or restore the print.
