Up for sale is a beautiful vintage 1940s/1950s Tabletop Vacuum Tube AM Radio. Housed in a warm, classic curved-edge hardwood veneer cabinet, this desktop unit features a textured tan fabric speaker grille cloth, a center multi-button mechanical station preset array, and 4 matching tiered brown plastic control knobs (Volume, Tone, and Tuning adjustments).The reverse backing plate retains its original vintage service station advertising label reading: "For Prompt Efficient Service Call 'HOUSTON'S' Radio & Television Service - 6830 So. Junett St.,Wooden Cabinet: In solid vintage shape. The wood frame is structurally sound with no split corners, major warping, or collapsing top panels. The finish displays beautiful natural aging, including expected minor scuffs, light surface scratches, and small area color fading from decades of garage storage.Hardware & Faceplate: The tan plastic dial housing is fully intact, though it has accumulated fine storage dust in the crevices. The slide-rule pointer needle moves across the 60–160 AM band window. The fabric speaker mesh is stable and free of heavy tears or large holes.Chassis & Testing: Sold strictly untested and AS IS for parts or restoration.
