This is a genuine Australian-made (or Australian-marketed) Parkleigh petrol lighter from the 1940s — the WWII / immediate post-war era. These compact trench-style pocket lighters were practical, reliable pieces built for everyday carry and are now sought after by collectors of Australian militaria and vintage smoking accessories.
