1940s/50s Chocolate + Pistachio Slub Linen Play Set, Western Fashions of Southern California
Absolutely marvelous 1940s/50s two-piece play set in chocolate and pistachio. The fabric is a nubby, slub linen, super soft and perfectly worn in. There may be a little rayon in the blend as well.
Shorts: High-waisted and pleated, with a chocolate waistband, side pocket, side zipper, and two mother-of-pearl-style button closures at the waist.
Bandeau top: Chocolate linen with a gathered center front and a pistachio knot detail. It's fully lined in cream and closes with two buttons at the back. The buttons can easily be moved to fit a 32-38" bust. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. There are two small black threads that appear to have been accidentally woven into the fabric on the back of the shorts. They're shown in the photos and are completely inconsequential.
