Vintage Androck No. 49 Hand-Crank Nut Chopper / Grinder – Made in USA
Wonderful vintage Androck No. 49 manual nut chopper, believed to date to the 1940s–1950s.
This piece features a distinctive mid-century red starburst and black diamond pattern on a cream-colored metal hopper. It has a clear glass collection jar, black collar, hand-crank chopping mechanism, and wooden crank handle.
The bottom of the glass is embossed:

The hand crank turns the internal chopping mechanism, which was designed to chop nuts directly into the glass container below.
This is a great piece of original American kitchenware and would make a wonderful addition to a vintage kitchen, mid-century collection, retro kitchen display, farmhouse décor, or Androck collection.
Condition
This is an original vintage item and shows wear consistent with its age and previous use. There are scratches, discoloration, paint/enamel loss, and areas of surface oxidation/rust on the metal components. The wooden crank handle also shows age-related wear.
