Offering the vintage1925 Pennsylvania Railroad System Book of Rules for Conducting Transportation approved by the Board of Directors on April 26, 1925. The book details the standards of operation and responsibilities for a variety of railroad positions to include: Train Masters, Station Masters, Passenger Conductors, Brakemen, Baggagemen and Yard Masters, etc. The book also contains operating procedures, standards, tables and color diagrams.
The book is hardcover with brown cloth binding andis stamped number 70024. The only writing in the book is on the front endpaper with the ink inscription "C.V.P.", which were the initials of the book's original owner, Carl Veach Parsonswho was a telegraph operator at the Fairhope Station Tower in Canton, Ohio. This book is certainly a piece of railroading history and would be a valued addition to any railroad collection.
