Exceptional antique Chinese export porcelain figure, depicting a richly robed female immortal, traditionally associated with Guanyin (Kwan Yin), the Bodhisattva of Compassion.
This impressive 14-inch tall figure dates to the early 20th century (circa 1900–1925) and was produced specifically for the Western export market. Executed in vibrant overglaze enamel decoration, the figure features elaborate flowing robes, finely modeled facial features, and symbolic elements rendered in vivid polychrome tones.
The sculpture stands on a classic white cylindrical porcelain base, a hallmark of Chinese export porcelain made for American and European interiors during the Qing–Republic transition period.
