1920s to 1930s Googly Eyed Doll
This doll features a classic hand painted oilcloth mask face with large, side-glancing \"googly\" style eyes, painted eyelashes, a sweet pouty mouth, and bright rosy cheeks. The painted oilcloth face shows typical age-related wear and light surface scuffing. The hair features its original yellow yarn hair tufts. The yarn shows significant thinning, fuzzing, and age-related wear.
The stuffed cloth body is structurally intact with firm stuffing. The fabric has generalized age-toning, dust, and light staining consistent with a well-loved toy of this age. When you shake it up the eyes move around. There have been a few repairs done in white thread. I love when dolls are worn looking. I’m obsessed with this doll and I hope you love it too! It’s out of my personal collection.
The doll measures out to 18” long by 7” wide (at the widest area by the arms).
