Antique General Electric Type D-12 electric toaster featuring a solid white porcelain ceramic base and exposed vertical wire rack construction. First introduced around 1908–1909 as GE's first commercially successful electric toaster line, the Type D-12 was designed with vertical wire-wrapped mica heating elements and a wire basket framework. This model features the raised wire guard rails to better support the bread during use.

Internal wiring and mica core windings remain in excellent vintage condition.
Ceramic base has a chip on one corner foot as shown in the photos, but the unit sits level, stable, and retains its feet pads.
Wire cage shows an authentic dark aged patina with light surface oxidation consistent with age and heat exposure.
