Vintage oval wooden meat-carving board with its original fitted metal drip tray.The thick removable wooden board features a carved juice channel around the perimeter and a round collection well at one end. The board rests securely inside the raised-edge metal tray, which was designed to catch juices while carving and serving meat.The naturally aged wood and worn metal give this piece wonderful primitive farmhouse, country kitchen or rustic lodge character. The wood has numerous carving marks, scratches, finish wear, discoloration and separation/cracking in places. The metal tray has scratches, tarnish, oxidation, staining and areas of surface rust.
