Up for sale/sale is a magnificent 13-inch vintage art display figure depicting Pantalone, the legendary miserly Venetian merchant from the traditional Italian Commedia dell'arte.
Crafted using authentic Italian Neapolitan crèche (presepe) construction, this figure features a poseable wire armature core wrapped in traditional hemp/jute tow fiber. Beneath his dark half-mask are rare inset glass eyes, giving him an exceptionally vivid, lifelike expression.
