Reel shows no signs of every being used or even mounted or attached to a rod.
Reel does have string on it, however its currently held in place with a piece of tape, the tape looks to be original tape that likely held that string in place once it came out of the package or box.
Reel does come with an original Mitchell plastic case. Unsure if this case is original to this exact reel. Plastic case does have a crack.
