The frame has been gently dry brushed to remove accumulated dust from many years in storage. No additional restoration, polishing, or refinishing has been performed, as I wanted to preserve its beautiful original finish and authentic vintage patina.
The finish naturally exhibits the depth, subtle tonal variation, and character expected of a vintage gilt frame. A couple of minor imperfections consistent with age and honest use are present and have been clearly photographed as part of the condition description. Overall, this is a substantial, exceptionally well-presenting vintage frame with tremendous decorative impact.
The frame is not currently fitted with hanging hardware, allowing the next owner to install hardware appropriate for their preferred display orientation. It may be hung either vertically or horizontally to best suit your project.
Please note this is a substantial, heavy frame. Its impressive weight is part of the quality and presence that sets it apart. I recommend installing appropriately rated wall anchors or hanging hardware suitable for both the frame and your wall surface to ensure safe display.
