Beautiful vintage green glass liquor bottle from James Buchanan & Co. Ltd. of Glasgow, Scotland. This empty piece of barware history features bold embossed lettering detailing the distiller's heritage along the bottom rim.
Historical Significance: The shoulder of the bottle is embossed with the iconic text: “FEDERAL LAW FORofferS SALE OR REUSE OF THIS BOTTLE”. This specific phrase was mandated by the U.S. government on all distributed liquor bottles following the repeal of Prohibition (dating this bottle between 1935 and 1964).
