Personal Item that has been sitting in a drawer for longer than I care to admit. Belonged to my grandfather before me. I just figure I am never going to do anything with it.

Vintage Ball Hamilton grade 999 Official RR Standard railroad pocket watch from the late 1930s to early 1940s, 21 jewels, running.
Runs, but I cannot guarantee accuracy or anything else about it's working condition.
Size: 16 size, open face
Material: Nickel movement with circular damaskeening, enamel dial, blued steel hands

- Movement signed Ball Watch Co. Cleveland O., Trade Mark Official Standard, 21 Jewels, Adjusted 5 Positions
- Ball Official RR Standard Cleveland dial with RR monogram, bold railroad Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6
- Blued spade style railroad hands
- Engraved scroll pattern bezel and case edge, engraved case back with vacant shield cartouche
- B654524 series serial, Ball-Hamilton production from the final years of the grade 999 run
Origin: USA, Hamilton-made movement for Ball Watch Co. Cleveland, Ohio
Condition: Pre-owned. Runs. Hairline cracks across the lower dial running from the 8 through the 5, plus a small chip near the 9 at the dial edge. Surface scratches and wear to the case back and bow consistent with age and pocket carry.
