ITEM DESCRIPTION:
A beautiful early 1970s/80s original vintage Browning fitted shotgun case, Model 1215L, featuring the classic Browning deer-head logo, tan/brown exterior, brass-tone hardware, and dark green fitted plush interior. The underside retains its original “1215L – MADE IN U.S.A.” identification label.
Designed as a fitted takedown traveling case with dedicated interior supports and compartments for the separated components of an over/under shotgun and accessories. The case measures approximately 31” long, 10” wide, roughly 3½–4 thick externally”, and weights about 9 lbs; please refer to the measurement photographs for exact dimensions and determine compatibility with your particular firearm before purchase.
The case is equipped with two Crest three-digit combination locks. Both locks have been tested and are working. Also included is the original Crest Lock Co. instruction card explaining operation and how to set/change the combinations. The combination locks are currently accessible and functional.
The dark green fitted interior remains present with its original-style padded/support blocks and accessory compartments. Exterior features stitched construction, reinforced metal corners, Browning logo patch, metal hinges and hardware, and the original carrying-handle hardware.
CONDITION: This is a vintage, pre-owned case and is not without wear. There is visible water staining/discoloration, particularly along one portion of the exterior, along with scattered scuffs, scratches, rub marks and other cosmetic wear from age, use and storage. The carrying handle has deteriorated/separated leather and will need to be repaired or replaced before being relied upon for carrying the case. Hardware shows normal age-related surface wear. Both combination locks are working as intended.
The interior also shows age/use but remains beautifully intact. Please examine all photographs carefully, including the close-ups and measurement photos, as they are considered an important part of the description and show the exact condition of the case being offered.
