This is a rare samples mailing box from Edwin B. Stimpson Company when they were located on 70 Franklin Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
The box mailing is postmarked from Brooklyn NY on August 22, 1939.
The box contains two envelopes with sample fasteners that appear to be electrical wire connectors. Also included is a small length of vintage wire that uses one of the types of samples included in the box.
The original \"letter inside\" as indicated on the box mailing cover is missing.
The box is in fair condition for its age, including some rips on the sides and a lot of stains/discolorations. Writing (from original recipient?) on front cover in pencil. The bottom half of the box has a contemporary price sticker from an antique dealer.
