This device was originally placed in service in the 1970's and remained in service until?. At that time, it was removed during a switch to private phones, modified for standard phone lines, and has remained in a private residence of single owner until the present. This phone was purchase at a local estate here in St Louis Mo. The phone is clean from top to bottom. The Chrome Face on the phone is Extremely Nice Looking Condition as I hope my pictures will provide.The Black handset & Chrome Metal cord are both in Great Cosmetic Condition "NOT PERFECT" BUT VERY NICE & Great Working Condition.The Push Button dial is in Excellent Working Condition, and I was able to get a dial tone on the old phone line here that dials out great and both parties can be heard Loud & Clear. THERE IS AN ADDED BONUS WITH THIS PHONE AS THERE IS A "VERY SMALL AMOUNT" OF CHANGE STILL LEFT INSIDE THE PHONE:>)I (DO NOT)) HAVE THE KEY(s) FOR THE LOCKS ON THIS PHONE.It is useful as a residential phone, it has been modified with a Modular Line Cord to work on any type of Modular Jack you may have in your home PROVIDED YOU STILL HAVE THE OLD TELEPHONE LAND LINE SERVICES.
I HAVE ADDED AN ADAPTER PIECE & ANOTHER MODULAR LINE CORD TO EXTEND THE ORIGINAL LINE CORD THAT CAME WITH THE PHONE JUST IN CASE YOU NEED EXTRA LENGTH IN LINE CORD. I DO NOT HAVE THAT PICTURED."NOTE" This Phone "DOES" Ring ON INCOMING CALLS not super loud BUT Not Softly either as you can Hear it Ring with no problem.From what I understand , Modern phone lines (DIGITAL) in some areas might not support all functions of Vintage Pushbutton/Rotary dial phones that do Best on Old Traditional Land Line Services. So you will need to contact your local phone/internet Services Carrier to find out the answer to those questions.This is the real McCoy Western Electric product made in USA to last & Has Lasted for all these years & Still Working Today:>).
