Vintage International Association of Machinists IAM 45-Year Service Pin, manufactured by Bastian Bros. and clearly marked “BASTIAN 24KT GP” on the reverse.
This attractive long-service award features the classic IAM triangular emblem with “I 45 AM” lettering in blue enamel, surrounded by a cream enamel field and detailed gold-tone laurel wreath. The 45 designation represents an impressive 45-year service/membership milestone.
The reverse is maker marked BASTIAN with the Bastian Bros. hallmark and 24KT GP, confirming the piece has a 24-karat gold-plated finish. This is not being represented as solid gold.
Includes the clutch-style backing and clear plastic presentation/storage box shown in the photographs.
The pin presents very well for its age with attractive enamel and strong gold coloration. Some normal surface wear, marks, scratches and age-related finish wear may be present.
