Vintage Hollywood Regency Cherub Brass 2-Tier Plant Stand Table Neoclassical
This is a gorgeous vintage 2-tier Neoclassical / Hollywood Regency style accent table or plant stand. This highly detailed piece features ornate cast metal work with an elegant aged brass finish.
It is cast metal with brass finish and has embossed relief scenes, cherub/putti faces, and claw feet. I believe it was made in thePhilippines in the 1970s.
Features:
- Top Tier: Features an intricately embossed Neoclassical narrative scene depicting classical Greco-Roman columns, ancient ruins, and figures.
- Lower Tier: Showcases a matching pastoral relief scene with frolicking cherubs/putti.
- Structural Details: The tops of the legs display beautifully cast figural cherub faces nested in acanthus leaf scrolls, ending in traditional claw-and-ball feet.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with a beautiful, authentic dark aged patina. The structure is entirely solid and structurally sound. Underside shows vintage machine bolt assembly. The table is wobbly but stable-the nuts may be able to be tightened to reduce the wobble but I didn\'t want to risk damaging them. It is a beautiful piece-with a nice patina. It does have some felt glued to the feet-otherwise it is all original.
Note: To ensure the safest and most economical transit, this table will be carefully disassembled (I already tested taking off the nuts and they come off easily with a pair of pliers) and flat-packed for shipping. It can be put back together in a few minutes using a pair of pliers.
