Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal! This is the Home Alone 2 DELUXE Talkboy. Yeah, the one from the movie! This thing was a really neat piece of tech for its time, enabling you to record, playback, and speed up or slow down recorded noises! The commercials were hilarious, showing a kid playing back audio of his parents to spook his older sister.
This unit is in fantastic shape for a 33 year old toy (sorry if that made you feel old, don\'t worry I am too 😂) and includes the original tape! It features a blank side for recording your own audio, and the other side of the tape features lines from the movie! Both sides are around 15 minutes long, and unlike many others I\'ve seen online, the one actually has the movie lines side intact! A lot of kids didn\'t really understand how tapes work, and immediately recorded over the voiced tape, not knowing there wasn\'t a way to get it back.
It\'s fully functional, cleaned up and ready to go! It does need 4 AA batteries, the ones included in the photo were just to test out the unit. But what 90\'s toy would be complete without a little blurb at the end saying \"batteries not included\"? 🤣
