this came off of a 1973 johnson 50hp outboard and my fit others the model number of the outboard it came off of is 50ESL73R. it will ship with no oil in it, the oil that was drained was clear of any water or debris. The skeg does have a slight bend at the bottom. (see photos) the water pump should replaced before installing on your motor. this will ship in a wooden crate via ups. local pickup is also an option in logan iowa 51546
