For your consideration isa Mamod TE1a Live Steam Tractor made in England in1977.
This item was around for 60+ years without a whole lot of changes. It was still in production until August 2024 when the company decided to close doors.
At the time of the closing, this was around $350. There is no doubt that a new one nowadays would sell for over $400.
This Live Steam Tractor has never been fired.
It is NOT PERFECT though : it was stored for many years under less than perfect conditions. Consequently, there is some oxydation and light corrosion in several spots, along with a few minor scratches. I did not see any dent.
As the toy has not been fired, it is in very good mechanical condition.
It has been air tested (video) and should not give much trouble to operate on steam.
Sometimes, an older gasket has dried up, needing replacement. Hopefully, that won\'t be the case.
It is complete, including the original box that is in good condition with very nice directions.
It is all original.
A bit of elbow grease will make it beautiful again.

I had my first steam engine when I was 9 years old. That was 67 years ago. I have been collecting them for 25 years and I am now 76.
None of my descendants is interested in the collection, so I decided that it was time to liquidate.
