The Land of Little Rain by Mary Austin American Southwest California Zamorano 80 For Sale

Very poor condition due to wear and binding issues. However, this is still a valuable resource for both its historical and illustrative value. A great rebinding or reading copy.

Two additional added features are: this book is considered the 2nd most important book on the highly revered Zamorano 80 an authoritative list of important books on Californiana; and this book came from the library of George Washington Brackenridge who was instrumental in funding the University of Texas Library system. Brackenridge had various business interests in the San Antonio area and donated this copy to the Carnegie Library of San Antonio as the donor bookplate states.

Publisher/Date: Houghton Mifflin & Co. ; 1903.  This book is the hardcover edition. Previous owner\'s name is present. The text has notes and markings on 70 pages. Several pages have soil spots, light damp staining, and stamp marks. The binding is in poor condition and the covers are partially loose from the text block. No dust jacket. The cover is heavily worn along the edges with some small tears and chips along the spine. The page edges are toned with scattered foxing. The corners are bumped and the tips rubbed through. There is a musty odor present.
