About the Series (Synopsis)
Set three hundred years after the events of the original Shannara trilogy, the Four Lands are being strangled by the Shadowen—dark creatures wielding a twisted magic that poisons the earth. When the ghosts of the ancient Druid Allanon summon the descendants of the legendary Ohmsford line, Par, Walker Boh, and Wren are given seemingly impossible quests. They must bring back the lost Elves, restore the vanished fortress of Paranor, and recover the Sword of Shannara before the world is consumed by an age of darkness.
