Original 1997 The Beautician and the Beast World-Premiere Ticket, Program and Party Collection
Offered is a rare group of original materials personally obtained by the seller while attending both the Los Angeles world premiere and associated premiere party forThe Beautician and the Beast, starring Fran Drescher and Timothy Dalton.
The premiere took place onMonday, February 3, 1997, at 7:30 p.m.at theParamount Theatre, Paramount Pictures, 5555 Melrose Avenue, Hollywood, California, as printed on the original admission ticket.
All pieces have remained together in the original attendee’s personal film-industry collection since the event. These are authentic 1997 premiere materials—not reproductions, later reprints or home-video inserts.
The group includes:
- Original illustrated premiere pamphlet/program, approximately9 x 12 inches
- Original “Admit One” World Premiere ticket, approximately9 x 4 inches
- Original Elton John AIDS Foundation/Pitzer College printed acknowledgment letter, approximately8.5 x 11 inches

The colorful program cover featuresFran Drescher and Timothy Dalton, together with the film’s “Once upon a time...” artwork. Inside are the extensive original cast, crew, production and music credits. The reverse is printed in vivid pink with the Paramount Pictures billing block.
Featured names include Fran Drescher, Timothy Dalton, Ian McNeice, Patrick Malahide, Lisa Jakub, Michael Lerner, Phyllis Newman, Heather DeLoach, Adam LaVorgna, director Ken Kwapis, writer Todd Graff, Roger Birnbaum, Peter Marc Jacobson and Howard W. Koch Jr. Fran Drescher is also credited as an executive producer.
The accompanying 8.5 x 11-inch printed letter identifiesThe Elton John AIDS Foundation and Pitzer College, thanks Paramount Pictures and lists the event chairs, honorary chairs, benefactors, patrons and sponsors. It is not represented as personally signed by Elton John.
Personally received and retained by the owner, who attended both the Los Angeles world premiere and its associated party. The complete group has remained in the same personal film-industry collection since February 1997.
Good to very good vintage condition overall. The pamphlet remains complete and colorful with minor edge, corner, surface and handling wear. The ticket, letter and promotional piece have light age-related wear, including minor creasing and small marks. Please examine all photographs carefully for the exact condition of each item.
An unusually complete premiere group associated with Fran Drescher, Timothy Dalton, Paramount Pictures and the Elton John AIDS Foundation—and an appealing piece of original 1990s Hollywood event memorabilia.
Three original 1997 pieces are included. None of the pieces is autographed.
No comparable complete premiere ticket, program and party-material group was located at the time of listing.
