Beautiful vintage artisan porcelain dollhouse miniature plate by renowned miniature artist Teresa Welch, hand signed and dated 1982.This tiny porcelain plate features an intricate hand-painted geometric design in cobalt blue, red, pale blue and white, finished with delicate gold gilt edging. The decoration includes blue crosshatched border panels, red checked accents, and a delicate circular ornamental design surrounding the center.The underside is clearly hand signed:Teresa Welch
1982Teresa Welch is highly regarded among miniature collectors for her finely scaled 1:12 porcelain tableware, created using genuine fired porcelain and traditional ceramic techniques adapted to miniature scale. A U.S. quarter is shown in the photographs for scale.Condition: Good vintage artisan condition overall. There is visible age-related crazing to the glaze along with minor wear and small imperfections consistent with a handmade porcelain miniature more than 40 years old. Some wear may be present to the delicate gold edging and painted decoration. No obvious major chips or cracks are visible in the photographs.
