Tachikichi Japanese chopstick and folding fan gift set. New and unused, in the original box.
Tachikichi (たち吉) is one of Kyoto's most storied names in Japanese tableware. The house was founded in 1752 in the Shijō-Tominokōji district under the trade name Tachibana-ya Kichibei, and was renamed Tachikichi by its eighth-generation proprietor in 1894. With more than 270 years of history, Tachikichi built its reputation by commissioning purpose-designed pieces directly from Japan's best-known ceramics regions, and became the country's foremost retailer of fine traditional tableware.
The box-end label identifies this set as 和小紋 桜吹雪 赤 — wa-komon (traditional small-pattern) in sakura-fubuki, "cherry blossom blizzard", in red. Reference 13B-322-5.
