TSR Dungeons and Dragons Basic Set - 3rd Edition, December 1979 - No Dice -*READ For Sale

You are offerding on an original basic set number 1001 of Dungeons and Dragons Game from 1979-1980 timeframe . I am the original owner of this game. Game has always been stored inside the house but the years have taken its toll on the paper glue and there is a lot of wear on edges and sides where the paper has worn off and you can see the brown cardboard color underneath on the top side of box. I tried to capture the condition in the photos so please look carefully at them.
**Please note : I DO NOT have the original dice set that goes to this game so you will need to obtain separately on your own. I have pictures of dice on this listing as they were in the box, but I was advised by a fellow er that these dice pictured are not original to this game. Will include them just in case you can use them with some other type of game set.
There is some light staining on corners of the booklets with some curling on the blue booklet and some spots on back of blue booklet .Pages/binding inside the booklet are in good condition and secure. Top corners of most of pages inside has some light stains likely from a water spill). All of the printed materials inside the booklets are legible and not impacted by any of the stains.
Module B2 (off white booklet ) has some staining and yellowing on front and back but inside pages /binding are all intact/secure.
Purple pamphlet Module B2 The Keep on the Borderlands is a map and there are 2 pencil markings on the map and 3 short lines of writing on top right corner in pencil where my husband wrote some notes about the characters at some point.
The Game Wizards pamphlet is an advertisement that was included in the original box about other modules available and it has some water stains on back of it.
The chits sheet shows a gap where we must have used 4 of them in a game, but the pieces are all there , just 4 are no longer attached to the card. One of the sides of the chit card has some pink discoloration on it but print is all legible and does not impact its use.
I can include a copy of one of our green character record sheets for reference ( it obviously has writing on it) in case you want to use it as an example to make some of your own. We used graph paper in the old days to draw maps and keep up with the moves.
We played this game a fair amount for a few years in early 1980\'s before children and it hasn\'t been touched since then. It\'s great to see a resurgence of interest in this game as we had great fun with it.
