THE UNITED STATES A HISTORY Book by John Clark Ridpath. This is a rare \"Columbian Edition\" with revisions and a more elaborate cover and spine. No details on Columbia but likely tied to the Columbian World\'s Fair that was being planned at the time. A very unique book with thorough detailing of America\'s history.
Overall condition is fair for the age. The hinges are cracked on the inside and the webbing is visible, but the covers are still holding on. The binding has dried over the years and at least one page has come loose. If the buyer requests we can re-tip this page in prior to shipping with archive-grade bookbinding glue. Otherwise the book presents well with a patina you can\'t buy at Barnes and Noble.
