Sweet 18\" Antique KAMKINS Molded Cloth Doll 1920s For Sale

Kamkins Studio cloth art dolls were made by Louise R. Kampes of Atlantic City, New Jersey in the 1920s. The dolls and their clothing were assembled by home seamstresses. The dolls could be male or female and usually featured short, bobbed hair. This doll is marked on the back of its head as well as the front of his body. He has blue eyes, single stroke eyebrows, and a closed mouth. The head is composed of heavy canvas fused to rubber. His head swivels but his limbs are attached with tabs. There is some staining to his body and tiny stains to the back of his legs. His clothes are modern replacement consisting of a white cotton shirt and turquoise denim shortalls.
