Loki tricks the Surfer into battle with the Thunder God in \"The Good, the Bad, and the Uncanny!\" by Stan Lee and John Buscema, inked by Sal Buscema. John Buscema\'s Surfer-versus-Thor cover is one of the best-known Silver Age Marvel covers. A 25-cent square-bound against the indicia, photographed in shot 11. It reads:

Original 1969 printing, not a facsimile or reprint. No barcode, as expected for the period.
CONDITION: VG- 3.5. The flaws, first:
- Spine chipping with paper loss at the bottom of the square spine, roughly an inch, through the \"MARVEL COMICS GROUP\" lettering. Shot 04, and edge-on in shot 06.
- A split of about half an inch at the lower front spine edge, with a small chip lifting. Shot 09.
- A few light creases, the clearest across the surfboard, plus general surface wear on the dark cover. Shot 02 is lit from the side to show them; flat light hides them.
- Light blunting and colour rub at the other three corners. Shots 07, 08, 10.
- Back cover evenly tanned with light soiling and edge wear along the spine side. Shot 03.
What holds up:
- Complete. No loose cover, no pages missing, back-cover coupon uncut.
- Centerfold held by both staples. Checked in hand.
- Lies flat. No roll or warp. Shot 05.
- No tape, no writing, no stamps, no water damage.
- Cover colours still strong, interior pages cream. Shots 01, 13, 14.
