Up for your consideration is a truly delightful and rare set of six (6) antique porcelain square dessert dishes. These fine pieces were produced in Germany by the world-renowned Franziska Hirsch Dresden studio during the 1890s.
Meticulously hand-painted in the grand Meissen style, each dish displays an individual, finely detailed pastoral scene showcasing courting couples in lush garden landscapes. The central round medallions are beautifully framed by vibrant, finely rendered scattered floral sprays and sprigs. The heavily sculpted, deeply ruffled borders are enriched with elaborate, frilly raised gilding that catches the light beautifully. Antique Condition: Five of the dishes are in exceptional condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations. The colors remain strikingly bright, and the intricate gold gilt borders are remarkably intact with minimal surface wear.
