This hardcover catalog surveys Canadian photographer Scott McFarland\'s recent work, with essays by Grant Arnold, Eva Respini, Vincent Honoré, Martin Barnes, and Shep Steiner. McFarland is known for large-scale digitally composited photographs — built from many separate exposures of the same site — depicting gardens, darkrooms, zoos, cabins, and boathouses. The cover image is printed directly on the boards in a moody nighttime scene of a wood-fired sugar shack.
