Condition: Very Good / Good. The book itself is in excellent condition with a tight binding and clean, crisp pages. The dust jacket appears to have been price clipped and is showing moderate shelf wear, including some chipping and small closed tears at the top of the spine and edges (see photos). The signature and inscription are bold and clear on the front flyleaf.
This is a highly collectible First Edition (April 1982, Presidio Press) of Stuart Herrington’s definitive account of Operation Phoenix and the intelligence war in the villages of South Vietnam.

This copy features a personal inscription and signature from the author, dated November 1995. Notably, the inscription was written during Herrington\'s time at Carlisle Barracks (home of the U.S. Army War College), where he served as a Colonel.
