- Shiny portion in specimen which I believe to be Pyrite
- ISUA STONE is the oldest known stone on Earth. It\'s ancient and billions of years old. It\'s very difficult to find and found in challenging conditions.
- Authentic Isua Stone is from the Isukasia area - where the Nuuk Fiord (Nuup Kangerlua) meets the Greenland Ice Sheet. It\'s a very remote area, not easy to access and only in the short summer period accessible. It\'s 100 km by boat from the capital Nuuk and then a 30 km hike in a mountainous landscape. Sometimes a helicopter is chartered to bring back the heavy rocks to Nuuk. It\'s not easy, to say the least.
- Origin: even those that are carved and polished, are a natural creation from the Earth and will have natural cracks, inclusions, rough spots and possible uneven surfaces.
