Huber [1924-2019] was part of Company G, 415th Infantry Regiment, part of the104th Infantry Division(\"Timberwolves\"). They werea frontline combat unit in Western Europe during WWII. The Timberwolves were known for night operations, the regiment fought through France, Belgium, and Germany, playing a key role in the battle for Cologne and the Ruhr Pocket in 1945.Hisunit had been on the front lines for 195 days when World War II ended in Europe on May 8, 1945.Huber spent 34 months in a machine gun unit in Europe, and came away without a scratch.
