Recapped & serviced vintage 1-bit CD Player Sony Discman D-220 (1993) For Sale

Hi there! Up for sale is a classic Sony D-220 Discman manufactured in August 1993, Made in Japan. Finding a working D-220 today is tough because almost every surviving unit out there has leaked factory capacitors that destroy the main board. I am a vintage audio hobbyist, and I personally repaired this common issue to bring this player back to full health.This model features Sony\'s early 1bit DAC technology paired with a physical, switchable Mega Bass profile (Norm/Mid/Max), delivering a clean, impactful vintage soundstage.🔧 What I Did:

• Full Board Recap: I cleaned up the original factory capacitor leakage and soldered in fresh, premium capacitors to ensure stable power delivery and crystal-clear audio tracking.
• Optical Pickup Service:The optical lens was cleaned, and the drive tracks and internal gears were fully stripped and precision-lubricated for smooth seek operation.
